Gas storage

For the storage of biogas, biomethane, CO2 and other gases, we manufacture standardised gas storage tanks in terms of shape and size. In addition to our standard designs, we work with our customers to develop individual and innovative gas storage solutions depending on the structural conditions and system requirements. The gas storage tanks can be installed as ground storage tanks on concrete foundations, ground basins on in-situ concrete, prefabricated or suitable steel tanks.

The design, height, colour and contained volume of our double membrane gas storage tanks can be customised depending on the circumstances. Our unpressurised gas storage tanks for use inside buildings offer a further option for gas storage in various forms. Single-shell EPDM gas membranes are also used on smaller tank diameters. We offer delivery, installation and service worldwide.

The storage of biogas as a renewable energy source is essential in order to maximise the flexibility and efficiency of biogas plants as renewable storage power plants. By storing the gas produced, energy production can take place independently of the immediate gas generation, which enables a demand-oriented energy supply. Stored biogas can be used to cover peak loads, especially in times of high demand for electricity or heat.

In addition, the storage of biogas helps to ensure security of supply by enabling the plant to operate reliably even in the event of short-term fluctuations in the substrate supply or technical faults. Last but not least, storage enables the integration of biogas into modern energy systems and thus promotes the sustainability and economic efficiency of the entire plant.
