Year of construction 2010 / refurbishment 2023 - 3 storage tanks
The biogas plant built in 2010, which is fed with renewable raw materials, was upgraded and refurbished in 2023. The existing gas storage tanks were converted to a usable gas storage volume of approx. 2,700 m³.
The double-membrane gas storage tanks were also equipped with a belt tensioning system, service opening and pressure gauge. The existing substructure could continue to be used.

Refurbishment and expansion of the Nawaro biogas plant in 2020 from EPDM to double membrane gas storage with a usable total volume of approx. 2500 kW.
4 x hemispheres with upstands between 1.0m and 2.0m
The double membrane gas storage tanks were converted to a double flat profile and equipped with additional service openings, new measurement technology, pressure sensors and overpressure protection. The existing substructure could continue to be used for all four tanks.
- Weihenzell, GermanyDouble membrane gas storage
In 2022, the storage power plant in Weihenzell was extensively renovated and expanded with a view to the future. As part of this, the existing tanks were converted from single-shell covers to double membrane gas storage tanks with half domes. The new gas storage solution was installed with a stainless steel U-profile fastening, while the substructure was retained in its entirety.
In addition, two new tanks with a usable volume of over 7,000 m³ were constructed, one with a special height and the other with a half dome.
Today, the Nawaro plant has an output of approx. 3,700 kW.
- Obing, GermanyDouble membrane gas storage
The Seimlhof environmental station operates a 75 kW biogas plant that supplies both electricity and heat for the connected educational farm's own needs. The plant was built in 2019 and consists of a tank with a dome-shaped double membrane gas storage tank. It is supplemented by modern measurement technology and a pressure safety device to ensure safe and efficient operation.
